This policy was made after a detailed meeting with PAMA (Toyota, Suzuki and Honda) and it is more or less everything they asked for (reduced sales taxes, reduced import taxes and export friendly policies). Only time will tell if the Big Three actually take benefit of the 1000cc tax exemptions and actually introduce their globally existing 1000cc car models. If they do, good for them and for the consumers. However, if they don’t… it will only show us that they do not care about developing the current auto market in Pakistan and they only want more profit margins by selling more expensive models. (my opinion)
