Some models came factory-fitted with E13 too.
The B12 and after that B13 were also available with the E10(S) engine which had the 41M cylinder head.

While to power was only 50hp, Nissan had always been known for its low-RPM torque (that is what made the Patrol a vehicle of choice for Arabs). It was surprisingly easy to drive a Nissan Sunny even compared to Corolla because once you shifted in the 3rd gear you could continue forever. Even at the slowest of speeds the engine could pick up without and any vibration or lugging.
