2017 Toyota Vios Launched in China

The Toyota Vios facelift was unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show in China last month and now has been officially launched in China as reported earlier.

u_autohomecar__wkgh31fs4acaalugaad3fzsfl3s360The changes at the front include a revised face, featuring a V shaped grill, new head lamps, bumper having dominating large trapezoidal grill with LED daytime running lights at either ends. The rear end has revised tail lamps and bumper. The interior now has a revised center console with split design, a new 3-spoke multi function steering wheel, increased silver trims, and gate type CVT shift lever.

Two engines are available with the Vios, a 1.3 liter with 99hp and 1.5 liter with 107hp both mated to either a 5 speed manual or a CVT transmission. Price of the base 1.3l 5MT version starts from 69,800 yuan (PKR 10.7 lac) while the top of the line 1.5l S-CVT version costs 113,800 yuan (PKR 17.5 lac).

The Vios is a popular car in Toyota’s lineup which was primarily developed for the emerging markets of the Asia Pacific regions. Currently in its third generation, the facelift will help Toyota to continue sell the Vios for a couple of more years before the 4th generation arrives.
