FAW D60 SUV To Receive A Facelift

The FAW D60 crossover SUV is about to get a facelift in China. The leaked images show great deal of improvements made to the visual aspects of the car.

The body dimensions of the facelift have been slightly increased compared to the older models. Now with 4230mm x 1760mm x 1636mm, the length and height has been increased by 60mm and 11mm respectively, however the wheelbase of 2557mm has remain unchanged.

The significant changes can be observed at the front end which deploys newly designed headlights, front bumper with embedded LEDs, and radiator grille with a chrome trim connecting to the headlights. The lower part of rear bumper has been redesigned while roof-rails have also been added.

Although the facelift will carry the same engine, it is reported that the new D60 might get a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission. Standard equipment include Driver & Passenger Airbags, ABS with EBD & Brake Assist, front & rear fog lights, multi-function tilt/ slide steering wheel, central locking with remote, air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, 16” alloy wheels, 4 speakers, Mp3/ USB/ Aux connectivity and rear windshield wiper etc.

Deluxe trims include parking sensors, ESC vehicle stability, TCS traction control, HSA hill-start assist, 6 speakers, engine start/ stop button, while top of the line version also gets side airbags, TPMS tire pressure monitoring system, auto-retract side mirrors, leather steering wheel, driver seat height adjustment, multimedia system with 7 inch touch screen, GPS navigation etc.

Crossover SUVs are steadily getting popular in our market, however most of the available options are out of the reach of majority. The D60 can do well in our market if Al-Haj FAW plans to launch the vehicle here. In China the FAW D60 is priced from RMB 64,900 (equivalent PKR 10 lac) up to RMB 99,900 (equivalent PKR 15.5 lac).
