The new Tunland’s exterior features a new front-end design giving it a more modern look as the previous version was more reminiscent to the 7th generation Toyota Hilux. The facelift incorporates a new grille with three solid horizontal slats, compact headlights and a completely reformatted bumper with wide side sections used to accommodate fog lights and LED day-time running lights. Instead of body colored wheel arches, the facelift now features black colored wheel arches, while the rear-end features a redesigned bumper.

The interior receives a radical change in the architecture of the front panel, with improved equipment and improved quality of materials. There is a new instrument panel with dials of speedometer and tachometer recessed in classic wells, a modern multimedia system with a large color screen (integration with smartphones, navigation, rear view camera), a convenient climate control unit, a modified central tunnel and decorated door cards.

The 2018 Tunland facelift is powered by 2.4 liter petrol with 136hp & 200Nm and 2.8 liter turbocharged diesel engine with 116hp & 280Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the vehicle is available in both 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive versions. The flagship S version, gets a re-tuned 2.8 liter turbocharged diesel engine with 163hp & 360Nm of peak torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
