FAW Jumpal CX65 Unveiled at 2018 Beijing Auto Show

FAW has officially unveiled the long-awaited Jumpal CX65 wagon at the ongoing 2018 Beijing Auto Show.

The Jumpal CX65 wagon shares its underpinnings with the stunning FAW A50 sedan which was penned by the former Lamborghini designer, Filippo Perrini who now heads Italdesign (IDG) as the Design Director.

The display unit of the CX65 wagon was dressed in white color with sporty black roof, nice set of alloy wheels, silver embellishments across grille, bumpers and roof rails, black claddings along wheel arches and underside of the bumpers to give more of a crossover-inspired appearance. The interior is largely reminiscent to the A50 sedan but with coffee-brown seats.

Like the A50 sedan, the CX65 comes equipped with an 8-inch touch screen with a multimedia entertainment audio and video system, including functions such as voice control, infotainment, smart navigation and driving assistance. Other features include a multi-function steering wheel, Bosch ver 9.1 ESP (Electronic Stability Program), 6 Airbags, engine start/ stop button, smart entry system, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), rearview camera with reversing sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors etc.

CX65 is powered by a 1.5 liter 122hp naturally aspirated engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Reportedly a 1.0 liter 119hp Turbocharged unit with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) will also be made available in future.

The CX65 is expected to go on sale in China in May 2018 with an expected price tag of around 60,000 yuan (PKR 10.9 lac).
