Although spending more than PKR 4 million on an ordinary seven seater MPV won’t make sense to many, so let’s see what else can you get in this sort of money in our market.

Kia Grand Carnival

Earlier this year, Kia has introduced the Grand Carnival luxury MPV in Pakistan. The 11-seat MPV is powered by a 3.6 liter V6 engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include driver & passenger airbags, 7″ multimedia infotainment system, keyless entry, rear parking assist, projection headlamps, auto adjust beam, 17″ wheels and engine immobilizer. The up-spec EX version comes with additional features of power retract side mirrors, 18″ wheels, LED lamps, leather seats, power sliding doors, dual sunroof, push start button with smart entry system, automatic AC, fog lamps, chrome garnishing and much more.

Honda HR-V

Then there is the Honda HR-V crossover SUV that was launched in Pakistan back in 2016. The HR-V comes equipped with a 1.5 liter engine that is paired to a CVT gearbox, and is currently available for PKR 41.9 lac.

Probably the most expensive Suzuki in Pakistan but the cheapest among the lot here. Launched in 2016 as CBU, the Suzuki Vitara compact SUV comes equipped with 1.6 liter engine paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD option.

The top-spec Suzuki Vitara GLX is available for PKR 37.9 lac and offers features such as 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ESP (electronic stability program), engine immobilizer, infotainment system, cruise control, paddle shifters, automatic wipers & lights, multi-function steering wheel, panoramic sunroof and All Grip 4×4 system etc.

If you consider the above available options, one is a 7-seat MPV, one is a crossover, one is a compact SUV and one is an 11-seat luxury MPV. This may however define that a sane logic doesn’t really applies when selling & pricing cars in Pakistan. Any automaker can sell anything at any price in our country.

It ultimately depends on the buyer which vehicle he prefers against the given amount of money. Interestingly however, none of the options listed above are handsome sellers, in fact most of these options struggle to leave the showroom floors. Let’s see how Toyota Rush fares its fortune in our market or becomes just another showpiece at the dealerships just as its predecessor the Avanza MPV.

Given a chance to spend PKR 4.1 million, which of these vehicles will you buy?
