Hyundai has launched the updated BS-VI compliant Venue diesel subcompact crossover SUV in India priced from INR 8.09 lac. The petrol variants were already upgraded to meet the BS-VI standards earlier this year priced from INR 6.7 lac.

The new Hyundai Venue diesel employs a 1.5-liter U2 CRDi diesel engine with a fixed geometry turbocharger delivering 100hp of power and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission only.

Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, central locking, impact sensing auto door unlock, speed sensing auto door lock, front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages are standard. Up-spec trims get side and curtain airbags, ESC, VSM, HAC, rear camera, passive keyless entry, burglar alarm and more.
