Both Hilux Revo and Fortuner will get thorough exterior design revisions which have already made it to the internet in form of spy shots and speculative renderings. The new Fortuner will get cosmetic restyling up front, with a bumper and grille design that’s now in line with newer Toyota SUVs such as the RAV4 and Raize.

The headlamps are now more angular with new LED DRL stripe along with a newly designed bumper with sharper outer ends that give a more beefier look to the SUV. Furthermore there will be taller fog lamp housings, a more compact upper grille and an inverted larger lower air intake.

Changes at the rear include tweaked tail lamps, new bumper and vertical, L-shaped light reflectors. There will also be a dual-tone paint scheme on offer in which the upper grille and lower grille, side mirrors, roof and the roof spoiler will be painted in a contrasting black color. Lastly there are new 20-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels to round up the exterior updates.

The 2020 Toyota Hilux facelift will get a front fascia that’s vastly similar to the one on the Toyota Tacoma. There are sharper, more modern looking set of headlights, a redesigned bumper with a pair of fog-lights that are “tucked” in while flanking the twin slatted wide grille that gets bigger with the facelift.

Towards the rear, there is a redesigned taillight cluster which has this double C-shaped LED pattern positioned on top of another. There is an alternate version also, with a blacked out grille and a set of headlights that are similar to the ones on the currently available Toyota Hilux. There aren’t many changes to the sides apart from revised alloy wheel options which include the 6-spoke 17-inch ones for the base trims and dual-tone 18-inch ones for the high-end versions.

The interior is largely going to remain same however we can expect an upgraded infotainment system and some minor enhancements offered including upgraded upholstery. According to earlier reports, the Hilux alongside visual enhancements will also get a power boost for its 2.8 liter turbo diesel engine. The new Fortuner is likely going to receive the same upgraded powerplant as in the Hilux Revo facelift.

With both Hilux Revo and Fortuner getting facelifts and considering Indus Motor Company’s past record, we can expect the updated IMV duo to appear in our market either towards the end of this year or early next year.
