Honda CR-V Facelift Launched in Thailand

After having made its debut in the United States, the Honda CR-V facelift has now been launched in Thailand with a new look and a number of additional features while retaining the same naturally-aspirated petrol and turbo-diesel engine options.

The exterior changes include redesigned bumpers, new grille, new tailgate garnish along with chromic embellishments around the body, as well as new 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside there is a revised center console that now incorporates a Qi wireless Smartphone charger for higher-end variants, which also get the new driver’s seat memory function and a panoramic sunroof. The powered tailgate has also been made standard fitment and now comes with a hands-free opening function.

Engine options include 2.4 liter naturally-aspirated i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol unit that produces 173 hp and 224 Nm and comes mated to a CVT. The range-topping variant receives 1.6 liter i-DTEC four-cylinder turbodiesel that churns out 160 hp and 350 Nm paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and a push-button gear selector.

Features in petrol trim levels which are split evenly between 5- and 7-seater variants (including AWD), are LED headlights & fog lights, 17-inch alloys, keyless entry with walk-away automatic locking, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, power-adjustable front seats (8-way for the driver, 4-way for the passenger), a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and 8 speakers.

The higher-end trims in addition to above mentioned features get automatic headlight leveling, LED fog lights, 18-inch alloys and navigation (which can also inform the climate control of the sun’s positioning), on top of the features listed earlier.

The top-spec variant also gets Honda Connect, which allows users to access various vehicular functions and information through their Smartphone app. In terms of safety, Honda Sensing suite of safety features, including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane-keeping assist and auto high beam is offered along with 6 airbags, stability control and a LaneWatch blind spot camera as standard.
