The facelift features a thoroughly revised front-end with split headlights that gets T-shaped new signature LED DRLs, a redesigned bumper and a wide new grille design that tapers at each end. The grille is offered with two distinctive inserts for the ‘Standard’ with conventional mesh type pattern and ‘Luxury’ with a more shield-like design with repeating inverse triangle plates.

The rear-end gets redesigned LED tail lights which are now connected by a slim illuminated light bar instead of a chromic strip. The revised bumper design now features a full width red reflector strip & chrome accents.

Inside the revised interior retains the twin-cowl dashboard, but with a high center console that now sits on a sloping angle. According to Hyundai the new cabin with more premium soft-touch materials provides better space, comfort, and convenience.

The Santa Fe’s shift-by-wire transmission now gets a push-button gear selector replacing the traditional lever, and a set of new system controls that are arrayed across the top of the console. For the first time, the Santa Fe comes with a Terrain Mode selector – a control knob for Eco, Sport, Comfort and Smart drive modes, as well as the HTRAC all-wheel-drive system’s sand, snow and mud presets. AWD is not available with the Indonesian version though, as all variants are FWD.
