2023 Nissan Almera (Sunny) Facelift Debuts in Thailand

The 2023 Nissan Almera facelift has been launched in Thailand. The B-segment sedan is sold under various names such as Versa in the United States where the facelift was recently introduced. The Almera is also sold under the Sunny nameplate in other markets including the Middle East.

The Almera’s exterior changes include a revised front fascia featuring a new V-Motion grille, a new logo, an improved interior, as well as a new exterior color – Sky Grey Pearl. In Thailand, the Almera which continues to be powered by a lone powerplant is available in 4 variants with prices starting from 549,000 THB (RM72,861) for the base E grade trim, ranging up to 699,000 THB (RM92,952) for the flagship VL variant.

Under the hood, the Nissan Almera facelift continues to be powered by a 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder engine which produces 99 hp of power and 152 Nm of torque, sending drive to the front wheels via an Xtronic continuously variable transmission.

In terms of equipment upgrades, Nissan has released NissanConnect Services for the Almera facelift, providing an application that allows the user to communicate with the vehicle and remote control a number of specified features. These features include a car finder function to assist the user in locating the vehicle, a remote-controlled door lock, an engine start, a horn, and lights.

A wireless device charger, the NissanConnect infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Google Maps navigation on an 8-inch touchscreen, and voice recognition are among the conveniences in the redesigned Almera. According to Nissan, the ‘Quore Modure’ premium seats provide greater comfort because they do not retain or reflect heat.

Vehicle dynamic control (stability control), ABS, EBD, brake assist, and hill start assist are just a few active safety features. Six airbags as well as pretensioning and load-limiting seatbelts are included in the passive safety measures on all grades.

The Ignite Package adds body-color front and rear bumper lips and side skirts along with a gloss black duck-tail rear spoiler, while the Iconic Package adds a black front grille, roof-mounted shark fin, sports pedal set, floor mats, and kick plate. The components of the Iconic Package and the Ignite Package are combined in the Ultimate Package.
