However, I guess that these numbers are immaterial to qualify the company in the league the Toyota is operating. I would also like to point out that these numbers are a one side of the picture, another side that matters to masses is the long-term ownership cost and in that area Toyota Yaris has been rated over Honda or KIA. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/driver-power/86752/most-reliable-small-cars-buy-2020
Durability is preferred over looks or extra features by the masses in Pakistan.
Furthermore, in my opinion, Pakistani environment including the habits of people are very different from India, Malaysia, Thailand and other markets. Firstly, petrol quality in Pakistan is not similar to the one available in other markets. This fact alone is keeping the buyers away from Honda cars, their engine cannot survive as well as Toyota or Suzuki’s. That is why despite Honda or KIA being good looking, they are not being imported as their Toyota made counterparts are being bought by people. Secondly, the infrastructure is also not inviting for comfort-oriented Honda cars. Since bad road make-up is going to mean expensive repair of sophisticated suspension and in Pakistan people cannot afford that. Lastly, in Pakistan pollution level is very high coupled with already different weather conditions cars other than Toyota or Suzuki are unable to survive for longer than ten years without hitting you with a very large bill.
Please note, the last point has been developed by my observation of cars in our vicinity. You may well ask about ten year ownership, to that I say that the group of people living over here own their vehicles for as long as fifteen years.
