All-New Hyundai Verna Launched in India from INR 10.89 Lac

Hyundai has finally launched the all-new Verna sedan in India with prices starting from INR 10.89 lac (PKR 37.09 lac). The 2023 Hyundai Verna has been launched in a total of 10 options under 6 variants: EX, S, SX, SX(O), SX Turbo, SX(O) Turbo, and comes with three transmission options which include the manual transmission, IVT and DCT. The top-spec Hyundai Verna is priced at INR 17.38 lac (PKR 59.19 lac).

As seen in the spy images shared earlier, the styling of the all-new Verna is a complete departure from the previous iteration. The exterior now features the company’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design language bringing it in line with the bigger 7th gen Elantra sedan. The dynamic front end of the 2023 Hyundai Verna gains a new blacked-out grille with integrated LED headlamps and a sharp-looking bumper with LED strips running symmetrically across the face of the car.

The rear end of the new Verna gets full-width connected LED taillamps at the back, as well as a bumper with mesh-like inserts, and a diffuser element. Thanks to its rising beltline and coupe-like rear end, along with the diamond-cut alloy wheels the 2023 Hyundai Verna visually looks quite aggressive and stands out from the rest of the competition in its class.

Under the hood, the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine from the previous generation of the Hyundai Verna has been carried over, along with a new 1.5L turbocharged petrol unit. The latter, which is a brand new T-GDi engine in the company’s portfolio, generates 158 hp of power and 253 Nm of torque, compared to the 113 hp and 144 Nm of the naturally aspirated one. Three different types of transmissions are available: a 6-speed manual, an IVT, and a 7-speed DCT.
