All New Toyota Innova HyCross Launched in India from INR 18.3 Lac

Toyota has launched the all-new 3rd gen Innova in India priced from INR 18.30 lac. The top-spec version goes as high as INR 28.97 lac.

The third generation of Innova debuted in Indonesia (where it’s called Kijang Innova Zenix) in November 2022 and at the same time was unveiled in India where it is being marketed as Innova HyCross. The vehicle will be available at dealerships across India from mid of next month. Built on the unibody, front-wheel-drive-based GA-C platform, the 3rd gen Innova is powered by two engine options: the 2.0L M20A-FKS petrol and the 2.0L M20A-FXS petrol hybrid engines.

This is the 5th generation Self-Charging Strong Hybrid Electric System with a 2.0L four-cylinder M20A-FXS gasoline engine paired with an e-drive sequential shift transmission delivering a max power output of 183.7 hp, providing rapid acceleration and best-in-segment fuel economy of 23.24 km per liter. The vehicle also comes with the option of a naturally aspirated 2.0L four-cylinder engine mated to a direct shift CVT delivering an output of 171.6 hp that offers class-leading fuel economy of 16.13 km per liter.

Manual transmission and diesel engine options are no longer offered with the new generation. The self-charging hybrid version is priced between INR 24.01-28.97 lac (depending upon the variant) while the gasoline versions are placed in the range of INR 18.30-19.20 lac.

Toyota Innova HyCross launched in India

The top trim of Innova Hycross also gets Toyota Safety Sense Suite. It includes advanced safety features such as dynamic radar cruise control, auto high beam, blind spot monitoring, pre-collision warning system, lane trace assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Top-spec variants get some exclusive connectivity features, in addition to the ones offered with other variants of Innova Hycross. Regular safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD & BA, and ESC.

First introduced in India back in 2005, the Innova has cumulatively sold over 10 lac units, accounting for over 50% of cumulative sales across Toyota models sold in the Indian market.
