O.E.M.s are already seeing an increased ratio of complaints from car customers, why should they bear the dent alone, they have merely applied model that is called mutually profitable relationship, therefore, parts makers would do better by improving quality of car parts. Also are not these part makers already importing parts from China? So what difference does it make if they stop supplying them and O.E.M.s have to rely on imports from another channel instead, to them costs would going to be almost same.
