This is Pakistan and customers have a certain ego factor. Companies need to understand that customers are not stupid. When the product is not competitive (anymore), at least good marketing can sell it. But bad marketing cannot sell even good product. And if your marketing is insulting towards the customers, who’s gonna come? They did it by insulting customers through lollipop items such as “shark fun-teena”. Now they are facing the music of their own deeds.

They were hands-in chums with the government by installing an engine with power output of 1300 cc but tax bracket of 1600 cc. Then policy suddenly changed and they begun crying only when their pockets were hurt. Why didn’t they lobby the government in good times to revise the tax brackets so the customers can get standard cars for less?
