It will be mostly hybrid rather than EV but that will change over time when they realize which way the wind is blowing and also when they come up with more cost effective methods of manufacturing that will maintain their profits. Then EVs will suddenly be OK and all will be right with the world. That will be the case with most large name brands like BMW, merc. etc. When profits are OK, the tech will suddenly be A-OK too. 👍👌 When you look at the technology coming out, the EV push, we must be careful because at the same time, you increase dependency on very few countries. “

…So basically what this guy is saying is, they cannot compete with the EV push that is a very real threat from China so suddenly, dependence on EV is bad. Seems more of a lame way of admitting they cant fight the coming tide.

If someone cannot buy an EV for some reason but needs a car, would you rather propose he continues to drive his old car forever? “

Using old ICE cars was OK. why was it not a problem when everyone drove just ICE cars? When people shift to EV suddenly it will be a problem. A few years back EVs were the niche choice of mobility. why was that OK and people did not face any major issues. But suddenly when the world moves forward and ICE cars become the niche choice, lack of buying choice in ICE cars will cause doom?

We have a peak now, they might not stay at the peak, but they will not go back to former prices. How much energy you need and use, and circularity, is important – for environmental reasons but even more for economic reasons.”

So what this dude is saying is, BMW will spend a lot of time and money investing in sustainable and cost effective ways to manufacture polluting ICE vehicles. Can you see the irony here? 🤦‍♂️

Look I know and everyone reading this will know ICE cars are not going away for a very longtime. What should be made mainstream should be hybrid vehicles and EVs. This dude and all other big name companies should be concentrating on that. That is the future.

China is far ahead of the game when it comes to EVs. Tesla only has more brand value but now Chinese customers also realize that local offerings are better. China has had reason for electrification: they have little to no fossil fuels but lots of metals mining.

Europe cannot trust China to export raw materials or spare parts to Europe. Why sell the raw material or be a parts vendor when you can sell your finished product with your own brand name at a far greater margin.
Here’s another theory, heard somewhere: European companies are telling the people that the European Commission is converting Europe into a colony of China by slowly disabling the plus points under the guise of +ve words such as environmentalism. EC is being the East India company of Europe. This is the forecast of a *reverse Imperialism*.

With the forced EV revolution, European carmakers will not be able to compete in Europe against Chinese offerings. They will have to find markets in Africa, Asia, South America etc. which are not ready for EV yet. They will have to sell simplified, easy-to-repair and cost-effective ICEs, because China is already there, selling its ICEs and EVs.

Interesting to see the way the world is changing. First the Europeans looted plundered and colonized the world over, using their cunning tactics and underhand measures. A few centuries later, what went around is coming around.
