Toyota is hell bent on ICE vehicles. It is concentrating on hydrogen burning ICE cars or bio fuels. It has so far ignored its expertise in Hydrogen fuel cell until this JV with BMW and is sill not taking EVs seriously.

ICE cars will be there far into our future that is true, but they will survive in only TWO forms. Either hybrids or as range extender options for EVs.

It seems like BMW will take full advantage of Toyota’s expertise and Toyota will be left holding the basket.

There is a lot Toyota can do but it is putting all its eggs in one basket. The wrong basket…
