BYD Atto 3 EV Launched in Thailand

The much awaited BYD Atto 3 has been finally launched in Thailand. The Atto 3 (which is called as Yuan Plus back in its home market) has already been introduced in other right-hand-drive markets such as Singapore & Australia, and is slated to be launched in India, Malaysia and Japan in near future.

The Thai-spec BYD Atto 3 gets a 60.49 kWh Blade LFP battery, which enables to electric crossover to achieve a driving range of 420km on the WLTP testing cycle (480km as per NEDC). Power comes from a front-mounted motor rated at 204 hp and 310 Nm which will propels the Atto 3 to go from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.

The Atto 3 EV can take up to 80 kW DC charging via a CCS2 connection, enabling a 0-80% charge in 45 minutes. The electric crossover can also power electrical appliances through its V2L (vehicle-to-load) system at a rate of up to 2.2 kW.

Exterior feature highlights include LED headlights with auto high beam, LED DRLs, follow-me-home lights, LED tail lights with sequential turn signals, power tailgate, electrically adjustable and folding side mirrors with defrosters, roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the Atto 3 gets dual tone interior using Eclipse Blue contrasting with Hazy Gray tone, multi-function steering, panoramic roof, electrically adjustable seats finished in synthetic leather, 12.8 inch touchscreen that can be rotated into landscape (vertical) or portrait (horizontal) orientation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, voice command function, Dirac HD Sound audio system with 8 speakers, ambient lighting, automatic air-conditioner with PM2.5 filter, key-less entry, tire-repair kit and first-aid kit.

Active safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, AEB, forward collision warning, rear collision warning, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert and rear cross-traffic braking. Also included are 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, EPB with auto-hold, hill start assist, traction control, stability control, ABS, TPMS, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree surround view camera, front and rear seat belt reminders, dash-cam recorder and ISOFIX child seat anchor points.

BYD Atto 3 is backed by 8 years/ 160,000 km company warranty, the same applies for its battery too. Priced at 1,199,900 Thai baht (PKR 68.25 lac), the BYD Atto 3 will go on sale in Thailand from 1st November, and deliveries will commence from 11th November 2022.
