Well, until then at-least Toyota Yaris has monopoly, I suspect that if Indus declines price even by PKR 100,000 to 150,000 the decision would goad lot of customers away from Chinese cars. The reason is that Chinese is often tagged with low quality.
As for Corolla feeling heat from crossovers, well that too cannot continue for long, the reason is that despite being cheap Sportage Alpha might cost more than Corolla in terms of maintenance. Once these figures would start pervading through customers, most would revert back toward sedan segment.

The pervious months which registered positive sales, I think what was happening was that the scalpers (i.e. the people who buy up huge lots of cars just so that they could sell them for premium or own); they bought up most of the cars and not the public.
Now that the scalpers have filled their inventory and cannot buy any more, car sales are dipping because consumers are not able to meet the high prices or waiting on the new auto policy or budget impact.
That means that the scalpers and the local auto assemblers will be sitting on inventory that they are now unable to sell on resulting in a dip in sales.
