While some of the old guard, especially in the case of the Japanese, are just reacting to this paradigm shift in the automobile sector, the Chinese are going full tilt and acting to dominate the EV game. Their speed and pace of development is unmatched.

Sure there will be a lot of failures along the way, but going by their pace, just imagine how many successes they will have.
