Trust me where there are no defined manufacturing standards, no two cars in our market are same. So this debate that I had a wonderful experience but you didn’t can also be justified to a certain extent.
Let me tell you in 1999 my elder brother bought a brand new Suzuki Mehran STD for 2.93 lac and that car turned out to be a real workhorse for us. It was used so extensively within cities & even on highways & never gave any troubles whatsoever. We used it for 8 years and more than 300,000km before my brother replaced it with brand new Alto VXR in 2007.
Inspired by our elder brother’s wonderful experience with Mehran, my younger brother decided to buy a zero meter Mehran as his first car. But that 2007 mehran was a completely different experience than we had with the dependable 99 one. It was poorly built with uneven gaps on body panels, quality of materials especially the dashboard was worse. There were two less air-vents, inside the sheet metal had visible joints whereas the 99 one had seamless metal inside. The first time when we rolled down the windows the glass took the rubber lining with it & what not. Plus the car within 2 months of ownership got stalled in the middle of the road as it had some inherited electrical issues. Going to & forth the dealership was hectic. Thankfully the car got stolen right outside his office within 3 months of purchase and as the car was insured my brother bought a JDM Alto 660cc as a replacement and used it for many years peacefully. But after that his opinions regarding Suzuki is completely different from my elder brother.

I have a long-term ownership, 7 years, experience of keeping 2002 model year Cultus and 2017 limited version model, still in possession since 2017. The sort of repairs, particularly the suspension related or alternator, that you have suggested have never been performed by us and we are frequent travelers to Mirpurkhaas and even Mithi. Although I admit that one of friends tried opening the door with locked handle, taking it as out of order, and thus exerting it to an unusual amount of pathan sort of pressure and ending-up snapping it. However, that I believe qualifies as our stupidity rather than how Suzuki makes its parts, so, in my opinion I would dare say that either you put too much strain on the car or that that you possibly got a piece that was not well put together. Also there is a reason that a good Cultus of model year 2015 can be bought for over 1million PKR. Similarly, a cousin of mine is running a 2014 Mehran on company paid limited maintenance and the car is not costing him in the manner that you are suggesting.
Another thing, the first model City was a good budget oriented people friendly car, however, models that have followed it are not so middle class friendly and are rightly famous for denting your pocket. Even the Sx8 is not that good for long period ownership. A cousin of mine owned it for four years and ended-up putting complete re-work of suspension after he took the car to Mithi.
