He is also a very determined learner. He makes sure to personally learn or experience something in order to deem it true. For example he tasted sea water and rain water to deem it as being salty and therefore not good for cars. I can imagine Khurram standing on top of a rooftop with his mouth open facing upwards like a funnel during a very rainy day.
