Kazakhstan is between a rock and a hard place. It is geographically very large but with low population, longest borders touching Russia and China, and is landlocked. Politically they must depend upon some other countries for their shipping needs – and Pakistan is one of their choices through the transit trade agreement. Pakistan can also provide cars, buses and trucks to them owing to a number of auto assemblers being present here but it must be sought that whether the vehicles being produced in Pakistan are up to the standard for Kazakhstan’s legal requirements and customer requirements?

Kazakhstan is a fairly new country created after a long period of subjugation by the Russian Czars and the Soviet Union – Pakistan played an important part in the breaking of Soviet Union and the freedom of the many many “-tans”, Central Asian countries whose name end with “-tan”. To some extent the Kazakhs owe their freedom to Pakistan, now the question is … can Pakistan offer them some decent automotive choices too?
