However, like the article mentions, the DFSK EV has a 52.7KWh battery. Wouldn’t that mean it is above the 50KWh tax benefit limit of the current EV policy? Wouldn’t that mean even this EV will be very expensive if brought to Pakistan?

EV battery tech is getting cheaper. Until a couple of years ago, around 50KWh batteries were the norm. Now I have seen that 50KWh plus batteries are fast becoming common. Many Chinese EVs are now coming with 60 to 70KWh batteries as standard.

I believe Pakistan’s EV policy must be updated first. Tax benefit Battery capacity for passenger vehicles must be increased to 100KWh at least.
