They’re only here to satisfy these lobbies, there is no real “struggle” to better the automobile market economy. They only give us a few nice looking lollipops (ooooh, taxes DECREASED!! oooooh, under 1000cc cars will get 2% cheaper!!!!) so that we shut up and actually think there is “progress” and then they continue doing the things they always have been doing for 40 years.
