I see, but then these luxury vehicles were always a waste of money in the first place. Back in the early 2000s when these companies started making luxury sport SUVs like the Range Rover and the Cayenne, and luxury four door sport sedans like the Quattroporte, they all were plagued with terrible issues and problems five years into ownership. These luxury cars are all designed with planned obsolescence in mind.

I’m sure that in the future, these very companies will introduce their own Electric SUVs as well, which will also be designed to start giving problems and headaches exactly after the warranty expires 😁 But just like iPhones, people will still buy them just for the name brand and for the status 🥴

the difference will become evident in two-three years, when electric SUVs with similar performance numbers will become a craze due to their low running & maintenance cost.. These “known brands” are too costly to maintain even for those with deep pockets 🙂

Why should they discontinue Urus? It has become their best selling vehicle so far. This isn’t only with Lamborghini, other luxury car companies have launched their super SUVs and they are selling almost twice/thrice more than their usual supercars.

They’re just selling their brand name and identity in the shape of an SUV, and people are buying. They don’t care about lap times or 0-60 times, they care that it’s a Lamborghini, a Bentley or a Ferrari.
