If he still owns that scale model, it’s worth a lot right now probably! A Ferrari scale model from the 90’s can fetch a good price as a collector’s item.

one of my cousins won that scale model.. he showed that to us back in those days but the family later moved to USA, don’t know what happened to that model but it was superbly built and never looked like a toy

By: Old times Shell-Ferrari promotional campaign https://carspiritpk.com/ferrari-celebrates-its-75th-anniversary/#comment-8041 Wed, 05 Jan 2022 21:08:22 +0000 https://carspiritpk.com/?p=47808#comment-8041 There was this promotion in the late 1990s where Shell promoted themselves as Ferrari’s official engine oil provider (and other lubes provider too maybe, long time ago can’t remember all the details), there was a campaign on TV (at that time only 3 TV channels) in which there were many advertisements showing Ferrari race cars (F1 shape, not their road cars). One ad also had the Hyundai Excel in it.
Along with the TV campaign, there was a scheme in which you could get/win collector’s item scale models (scale models were of road cars). Most of the scale models were 3″ in size but the main prize was a larger model IIRC maybe 1’5 foot or 2 feet long (wonder who got it in the end, there was no Twitter or anything like it in those days, internet was 40 rupees per hour on top of it paid PTCL per minute). The scale models were of immaculate quality.
Long time ago, don’t remember much of that promotional campaign but possibly some people do have those die cast collections.
