And the existence of this market wholly proves that people only do this as a class/showoff thing. Any of these facelifts don’t provide anything of value but gives you the hope that people may think of you as someone who is very rich and drives the brand new Land Cruiser instead of the generation old one…

This kind of *fake upgrade conversions* are common in Pakistan.
Whether it is fitting a 90-series (Prado) body or a 70-series (Prado) body on 70-series LC chassis, fitting an Exceed body on a 1st gen Pajero frame, or converting a 120-series Prado into a 150-series Prado by just some denting-painting and changing lights, grills and bumpers.
Pakistanis are expert improvisers and this type of work is their left hand’s play.
