Honda City Hatchback Debuts in Indonesia

After making its world debut in Thailand in November 2020, the Honda City hatchback has now been introduced in Indonesia replacing the Jazz hatchback. As reported earlier, the City hatchback will come as a replacement of Honda Jazz in ASEAN markets.

The 2021 Honda City hatchback for Indonesian market comes available in just 1 trim– the RS that has a 1.5L engine under its hood good for 120hp of power and 141Nm of torque & comes paired to either 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox.

In terms of appearance the Indonesian-spec City RS hatchback looks identical to the Thai-spec City RS with front grille, fog lamp inserts, diffuser elements, side mirror covers, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna and wheels all finished in black.

Exterior features include LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps and LED taillights, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, heat-rejecting tinted glass and a multi-angle reverse camera.

Inside the red & black themed interior gets combination of leather, suede and fabric upholstery, keyless engine start, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with WebLink and Apple CarPlay support, 4 speakers, single-zone automatic air-conditioning and Honda’s Ultra Seats for a variety of seat configurations that either maximize comfort or practicality. The CVT variant comes with remote engine start and paddle shifters, which are not available with the manual variant.

In terms of safety, the City RS hatchback in Indonesia comes with 6 airbags as standard, along with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), hill start assist, front seat belt reminders, ISOFIX child seat anchors and 4 rear parking sensors.
