Ah, the Toyota Sera! Such a funky looking car. I remember seeing this car often starring in Indian/Pakistani films and dramas at it’s time. There are still a few left in this country, but most if not all of them are in deteriorating condition and often ruined with distasteful mods… 😢😂

The only vehicle after Mercedes S600, Pullman, that took the luxury car market to an untapped level, may be Toyota should re-consider bringing back this design language it is a cross between luxury, decency, sportiness, mafia, ready to go and great craftmanship.

agree… the Lexus Ls, prius, mirai the sera all were good innovations by Toyota but now they’ve lost the path i guess. or maybe its the leadership issue, Akio has different priorities, Eiji and Soichiro lead in a better way, Akio will bring Toyota down 🙁

Even Gordon Murry, the designer of the McLaren F1 sighted the Sera as his inspiration for its doors. The corolla brought good reliable motoring to the masses. Toyota was the first to explore EV and Hydrogen fuel cell. However during that time something happened and it changed. No longer was innovation a priority. They just "demonstrate" their tech now, like their Hydrogen ICE etc. instead of hydrogen Fuel cell. In surveys such as JD Powers, which Toyota usually topped in the past, now they are just average. They seem to have lost a lot, and yet they call it progress... 🤷‍♂️]]> In reply to TruongNguyen.

Agreed with both of you. My dream car has always been the Toyota Sera. Don’t ask me why but its been so since I was a kid. Love that thing. 😍 That was from a time when Toyota innovated. Couldn’t agree more. It has been so long since Toyota actually did something groundbreaking and brought something new to the table.

Toyota was a company which used to do unthinkable, now it has become a company which is running away from advancement and lobbying just to sell its obsolete tech
