Hyundai-Nishat has finally launched the 1.6L variant of the 6th gen Elantra sedan which was previously available in Pakistan with a 2.0L engine only. The new variant is called Elantra GL and is priced at PKR 4,299,000 ex factory.
The new Elantra GL comes equipped with a Euro-2 compliant 1.6L MPi engine which produces 125hp of power and 155Nm of torque & comes paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard. However as previously speculated, the Elantra GL is better equipped with most features still offered which were earlier rumored to be absent from the menu.
Features include dual airbags, ABS brakes, Tetra-LED headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch alloys, sunroof, rear camera with dynamic guides, auto-light control, shark fin antenna, Super Vision 4.2-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster with Optitron meter & digital speedometer, 8-inch infotainment system with MyHyundai app, rear AC vents, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, headlight delay function, speed sensing door locks to name a few.

Backed by 4-years/ 100,00km warranty the Hyundai Elantra GL will primarily compete against the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6L the price of which ranges between PKR 39.29 lac and PKR 43.09 lac.
