IMC Shuts Down its Plant as Employees Tested COVID-19 Positive

Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced to shut down its plant for 5 days as some of its employees have been tested positive for COVID-19.

After observing plant shutdowns for almost 2 months, IMC on the 19th of May said it will resume its assembly operations under strict SOPs as instructed by the government. However the company tested several of its employees including those with no symptoms of the disease which revealed that some of its employees are suffering from coronavirus.

According to IMC, none of them is in serious condition and all of the affected employees are currently isolated for necessary treatment and quarantine. The company has now decided to test all of its employees for COVID-19. The plant will remain shut for 5 days during which the facility will be completely disinfected comprehensive employee testing will be performed. IMC will resume its assembly operations from 11th of June according to the notice.
