It is good that the government has imposed these restrictions, perhaps now some illiterate people showing up on this blog are going to realise that cars are a luxury and not a necessity.

Local “assembling” has been a failure. For 35 years, they have been unable to localize and always need some special treatment from the state to be able to conduct business, all along still making lots of profits for the investors (and for the the scalpers too)

Indus made a profit of 12.8 billion rs. in FY ending 2021.

Yet they have always required to be held upon stilts such as frequent price increases, ban on import of used (yes, used!) cars, etc.

Time for them to cease & desist and open up the import of used JDMs. If Malakand division, FATA and GB region have been doing perfectly fine with used JDMs, without the products of local assemblers and without the other secondary circumstances (lack of variety, obsolete models, late delivery times) that come along with it – then the rest of the nation can also do it. This apartheid should end. Not only in these areas the import is open, there is no custom duty as well without the national treasury mentioning about any loss.

Wow Ultimate drama bazi!

They always do this type of topi drama, cry like little girls and the government always falls for it!

Now to get their way they are stopping production. The local assemblers have been posting “record profits” and “record production”. Suddenly everything stops.

Daal Puri kali hai.

The government must apply fines on the companies for these non production days because this might translate into these companies taking advantage of the situation and stopping the pays of employees.

Along with the fines, the government must also raid (complete unannounced raid) the assembly plants of these local mafia and make sure what they say is true or have they just forced stopped all their production to get their way.
