This line in their letter reads more like a threat rather than a statement. Is it another way for them to justify longer delivery periods and/or price hikes for which they will shift the blame to the government etc.? Is this an example of this company being serious or throwing a hissy fit? “…This has disrupted the entire supply chain and the vendors are unable to supply raw materials and components to the company.”

“Accordingly, the company has insufficient inventory levels, therefore, the company is unable to continue its production activities.”

In view of the above, the company has decided to completely shut down its plant from 1st February, 2023 to 14th Feb 2023. Moreover, the company has also decided to start its production on single shift basis from 15th Feb 2023 until further notice.”

Their own letter is full of contradictions. According to them if the vendors can’t supply the raw materials or components and their own inventory levels are so low that they have to shutdown, how will they restart their production by 15th Feb.? What will they produce?! Broken promises and shattered dreams?! 🤦‍♂️🤣

It seems like they did not want to miss the chance. I.e., increase the pricing now and if by some miracle when they resume their production, and the dollar has gone down, they can do what they did last time to curry favor with the customers and get the fanboys to sing their praises. Last time they increased their pricing by 3 million and only decreased their prices by 1 million. They kept a large chunk of the price increase intact for themselves. Maybe this is their aim this time too. IF the dollar comes down. 4 - This "price hike", even though the factories are now closed, is disruptive. We know that the used car market sets its prices based on the pricing of the new cars. They don't have a product, yet they are causing massive hikes in use car prices based on their wishful thinking and non existent cars. So aren't they themselves causing the pressure and destabilization in the market? 1 – Why the specific date of Feb 15th for their reopening? “How”, is the main question here? do they miraculously know that in two weeks, everything will be fine. If not, how will they resume production? Taking all the factors into account, their statement above, should have been more along the lines of “factory closed till further notice”. This “lack of supplies” and the specific time of “closed till Feb 15th”, still smells somewhat of a con to put pressure on the government to give them what they want.

2 – The ‘go to’ question/observation from the government if anyone there actually gives a crap about the nation at this point, “thirty years”?!. These three auto industry kings from japan and by extension the local vendors who provided parts to them; what were they doing for the last three decades? Complaining and not being up to the challenge as always. They were/are procrastinating gluttons!. Now that they ate up all the free food and there is no more, what do they want? We should give up on essential imports like food etc., and give them priority? 🤷‍♂️
