IMC Unveils Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid and its Prices

After a long wait, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has finally unveiled the locally assembled Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid in an exclusive dealer event held in Bhurban.

In terms of looks, the Corolla Cross remains identical to the CBU-imported versions introduced a couple of years ago. It comes in the pre-facelift guise that features bi-beam LED headlamps, a moonroof, roof rails, alloy wheels, retractable mirrors, a smart entry system, and a powered/ kick-sensor tailgate opener. However (just like the locally assembled Yaris) the ride height seems to have been increased to cope with local driving conditions.

Inside, the interior is also the same as the CBU versions with dual-zone auto climate control, powered seats, a push-start system, leather seats, and a 9-inch floating infotainment system among the highlights. There are multiple driving modes including EV, Eco, and Power to match the driving needs.

2024 Toyota Corolla Cross price in Pakistan

The vehicle is offered in two variants. The Corolla Cross 1.8L HEV(MID) bears a price tag of Rs. 9,399,000, while the flagship Corolla Cross 1.8L HEV X(HI) has been priced at Rs. 9,849,000. The mentioned prices are “introductory” which means they are likely going to be revised shortly.

Both variants are powered by a 2ZR-FXE 1.8L engine that punches out 98 hp of power and 142 Nm of torque. There is a 600-volt electric motor supplementing the setup with an additional 72 hp and 163 Nm. This is the same setup that was available with the CBU-imported Corolla Cross variants. The combined output is 196hp and 188Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via e-CVT transmission.

Safety features include 7 airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, VCS and TCS, HSA, Blind Spot Monitor, Clearance Sonar + Rear Cross- Traffic Alert (RCTA), and rain-sensing wipers. The company will share more details in the upcoming days. The bookings are expected to open on the 18th of December with priority deliveries offered on a first-come-first-booked basis.
