The excuse of lacking expertise in small car manufacturing seems weak, especially when Toyota has a subsidiary like Daihatsu known for its quality small cars. To foster healthy competition and growth in the local auto industry, it’s crucial for the government to create favorable policies and encourage diversity in vehicle options. Pakistan’s potential as a major automobile market deserves to be realized beyond the confines of a few models.
