Isuzu has launched the D-MAX V-Cross facelift in India with slightly tweaked styling and 20 new advancements without increasing the price. Available in two variants, the D-MAX V-Cross is attractively priced at INR 15.51 lac for standard variant and INR 17.03 lac for the flagship Z variant.
Inspired by ‘Cyborg Orca’ as Isuzu calls it, the front carries a tweaked grille bundled with Bi-LED headlamps and distinctive sharp lines. The fog lamps now feature Chrome Bezel. The car sits on a set of new Diamond Cut 18-inch alloy wheels. In addition to this, the vehicle also gets roof-rails and a new shark-fin antenna. The side-step gets a new design, while the B-pillar gets an all-black treatment. The upgraded rear chrome bumper and embedded LED tail-lamps aptly complement the new design lines flowing through the rear.
The Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross gets all-black interior and newly contoured seats to offer better comfort as compared to its predecessor. The High Grade (Z) variant comes with perforated leather seats. The contemporary instrument cluster now houses the new 3D Design Electroluminescent meter and gear shift indicator, while the dashboard comes with a piano black garnish. As for convenience, the new V-Cross gets the PESS (passive entry and start/stop system) feature and a USB charging port in the second row. The V-Cross also gets a 7-inch touch screen audio system with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.
As for safety, the new Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross now gets seat-belt with pre-tensioner & load limiter, speed sensitive auto door lock, co-driver seat belt reminder, HSA (hill start assist) and HDC (hill descent control).
The D-MAX V-Cross continues to be powered by the 2.5-liter high-pressure common rail diesel engine that produces 134bhp and 320Nm of torque at 1800-2800rpm. The V-Cross is also equipped with off-roading features like 4WD (shift-on-fly) drive mode, high ride suspension that offers higher ground clearance, a wider track with longer wheelbase. The chassis frame is designed with iGRIP feature (Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform), which claims to offer greater stability even at hi-speeds and sharp curves.
