Sorry brother if you find my comments harsh. But in my view Kia is putting everything possible to break the stereotype set by big3. In my view Kia vehicles are user friendly, stylish, smarter, fuel economic, long lasting, road friendly and innovative solutions for Pakistanis. These cars survived Karachi rain floods unlike Honda n Suzuki. Maybe for InterCity traveling kis is not good but for intracity traveling it is far better than blackmailers like Toyota, Honda and Suzuki.

Your comment is very useful … an eye-opener for car makers that they cannot command prices similar to well-renowned Japanese automakers. Unless they offer similar value for 2/3rd the price, noone is going to buy. It has been seen in the case of Ciaz, Picanto, etc.

Sportage’s success for now has been due to its price being lower from Suzuki Vitara, I am sure it won’t be able to sell half of the current units once similar type and sanely priced vehicle is launched by IMC.
Moreover, do you really think that people concerned with long-term car ownership are going to be preferring Cerato over Yaris Ativ X even if it is priced at higher point from Yaris? My brother was all for KIA Cerato, my father and I quashed the idea in favour of Toyota Aqua or used Toyota Corolla because we can’t afford to own a nice looking vehicle that might have its condenser or coil broken while hitting a sudden pothole on road between Karachi and Hyderabad. Our neighbour’s Civic met the similar fate when he took the vehicle to Umerkoat, it cost him PKR 150,000 so he replaced the car with Corolla Grande. It has been two years now and he is happy with the vehicle.
At-least, Toyota and Suzuki vehicles have proven durable and reliable over the infrastructure that we have here in Sind and Balochistan, even the J.D.M. versions, these vehicles have even survived with petrol quality that is available here. The arousal of such reliability is yet to be proven from KIA vehicles. Perhaps this factor is the reason that their commercial vehicle is not even plying the roads in high numbers as Sportage is. Besides, if the KIA is so good, why people are not importing them like people are doing with certain Toyota Hilux models? The reason I guess is, masses unlike rich Sportage buyers want durable cars, not some award winning vehicle.
P.S. I know, my comment is not at par with your tastes and you might not even approve it, just like the one I posted about KIA’s irresponsible and far from truth based movie. However, your portal is a free voice for all and therefore, I thank you for allowing me to use it.
