Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has reduced the prices of Kia Sportage variants by up to Rs 251,000. According to the company, the offer is valid for a limited period only.
The Rs 2.51 lac discount is applicable on the Sportage Alpha variant. However the prices of FWD and AWD variants have been slashed by Rs 101,000. After the decrease, the base Sportage Alpha is priced at PKR 59.99 lac, Sportage FWD at PKR 66.49 lac while the flagship AWD variant is now available for PKR 71.49 lac.
The company hasn’t given any specific reason behind the discount offer. However industry insiders believe the company’s decision of not reducing prices in August when car prices were being slashed across the board has caused a negative impact on Kia Sportage bookings. Hence the discount is there to lure customers into buying the crossover.

Furthermore auto assemblers are expected to face a downward sales trend in forthcoming months due to a number of factors including tightened auto financing, rising car prices and reduced purchase power of the masses. Sales already declined by 50% in August from a year ago, the lowest since June 2020 according to data released by PAMA.
