KIA Unveils the Interior of K8 Sedan

KIA officially revealed their new flagship K8 sedan last month which is set to make its debut later this year. Now the South Korean automaker has given us a glimpse of the luxury sedan’s interior which as KIA said will be “a first-class interior lounge that blends premium luxury with effortless style and unrivaled comfort.”

According to Kia, every element inside K8 sedan’s cabin, especially the wood, is aimed at enhancing the premium appeal. The wooden panels are complemented by high-quality metal inserts. The air-conditioning system is operated via touchpad, adding a hint of minimalism to the dashboard while the diamond pattern on napa leather makes the cabin seem luxurious.

There are two 12-inch screens one for the digital meter cluster and the other for touchscreen infotainment system. The K8 will come with the UVO connectivity suite for a plethora of connected-car features & will also be the first KIA car to feature a Meridian 14-speaker system. Other features on the sedan include automatic AC, electronic drive-mode selector, ambient lighting, and a host of safety provisions, including advanced driver assistance systems.

Describing the interior, Karim Habib who is the Senior Vice President and Head of KIA’s Global Design Center says:

“The interior of the K8 is a canvas for our ambition to define the future, nature meets modern technology, and refinement meets uncompromised comfort. It is a first-class travel space that fulfills the needs of the driver and passengers. The K8 is a modern sedan with a dynamic exterior that is matched by its progressive and elegant interior. This car – our first since our new company rebranding – puts us on the path forward as we look to realize our future goals.”

KIA is sequentially releasing the details of their new flagship K8 sedan with first the exterior, followed by a teaser video, and now the interior while it is yet to give us details on the powertrain options. So one can expect the information to be released in coming weeks, as the sedan is expected to go on sale starting from its home market South Korea later this year followed by debut in other international markets.
