FAW started its operations in Paistan with a 7 acre land at Zulfiqarabad. imo its more than enough as a start, as they can expand it later depending on the demand (FAW later claimed to have expanded to 35 acres). otoh Indus has a big space but almost half of it is empty land, the operational area is perhaps 55/60 acres maybe. But yes, i agree to your last point Bangladesh has a lot more people and a lot less land than Pakistan so maybe just they are used to make-do with less space just like Japan.

6 acres is way, way too small for an auto-assembling plant. Toyota IMC plant at Port Qasim is on 105 acres https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Indus#cite_note-BR-4. Unless Hyundai have some new new manufacturing process or they plan to assemble only one product or they are looking for low volume, there is no way they can have stores for all that inventory, production building, finished goods building, testing ground and administrative offices in all that. But then Bangladesh has a lot more people and a lot less land than Pakistan so maybe just they are used to make-do with less space just like Japan.
