Expanding its CNG portfolio, Maruti Suzuki has launched the XL6 S-CNG in India priced at INR 12.24 lac (ex-showroom). Only available in the entry-level Zeta trim, the XL6 CNG costs about INR 95,000 more than its equivalent petrol variant. The XL6 CNG along with the Baleno CNG (which is priced between INR 8.28 lac and INR 9.21 lac) are the first two models from Maruti’s Nexa line-up to be offered with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

The XL6 CNG continues to be powered by a 1.5L K15C petrol engine, which makes 88hp and 121.5Nm in CNG mode and 101hp and 136Nm in petrol mode. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and in the CNG version, it does not get the option of a 6-speed automatic that’s offered with the petrol-only XL6. Maruti Suzuki claims that the XL6 CNG offers a fuel-efficiency figure of 26.32km/kg.
Feature highlights of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 S-CNG variant include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, LED DRLs, 4 airbags, ESP with hill hold function, and LED fog lights. The XL6 CNG can also be owned through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at a monthly subscription fee starting from INR 30,821.
