Why take us back to the 1940s when we can go all the way back to the 1900s when only the elite owned and operated engine powered vehicles and peasants (like 99% of us) have to travel using horses, donkeys, mules and the slightly premium bicycles 😂

I think the reason why we haven’t yet tapped into our oil and gas reserves as much and are rather importing them is because of another political headache.. there must be some land related politics involved…

Shame that we still yet have to nip so many problems in our country from the bud 😔

Unless Pakistani government asks companies, involved in transport, to hire so-called educated talent available in Pakistan for making cars and extracting oil, nothing can change. However, what can one say, seeing as Pakistanis driving on the roads have invented new types of shortcuts the government, comprising of such type of Pakistanis, have being doing their jobs by keeping short-term picture in mind.

A quick side note; GDP per capita in 2017: Vietnam - 2365 USD and was rising Cambodia - 1385 USD and was rising Pakistan - 1464 USD and was at the peak GDP per capita in 2020: Vietnam - 2785 USD and still rising Cambodia - 1512 USD but falling Pakistan - 1193 USD and still rapidly falling Now we are far behind Cambodia even. Yes, one can see the "upward trend". (...and yes, EVERYONE went through Covid!) Oil is our biggest import even though we have oil reserves that have other nations salivating. Yet we can't seem to use it or touch it. We have gas reserves that are very substantial, yet it is the second biggest import. 🤷‍♂️ Our car industry is littered with expensive parts importers who strictly cater to the rich now. So the auto policies which increased the number of local assemblers were all to benefit the upper crust. Now that the crap has hit the fan we have to empty our pockets to fix their mistakes. Their penny wise pound foolish policies leave much to be desired!]]> 😤😤😤
