No, the back seat slides back into the cargo area 🙂

Quite clever design actually, as I questioned that myself. The seat can slide back into the cargo space for more leg room.

Thanks for that information bro! I have sat in so many different kei cars (thank you Uber and Careem) and unfortunately I have had trouble fitting in and sitting comfortably in almost all of them! So seeing this model here sitting so relaxed in such a “spacious” rear space just boggled my mind 🤣🤣

  1. Camera trick.
  2. Front seats are pushed all the way forward.
  3. The model is petite.
  4. Newer kei cars are roomy from inside. E.g. the 5th gen Alto HA12/HA23 which was sold from 2000 to 2012 in Pakistan as RA410 is 3395 mm long. The 8th gen Alto is also 3395 mm long but the cabin is much roomier. The leg room for front passenger is bigger than that of Old Cultus (2000-2017), and the leg room for rear seats is also ample, but the trunk is really small.
  5. Newer kei cars have this habit of small seat length. 8th gen Alto also has this problem, that only a small part of your thigh is on the seat, and a few inches behind your knee have no support by the cushion. This makes the floorboard/foot-well look kind of bigger but is uncomfortable on long drives. You can easily see this in the photo. The model is crossing her legs yet there is vacant space for a few inches beneath her thighs, if she sat with her knees side by side, this space would have been even bigger.

In the Philippines, it is priced at around 40 lac to 45 lac PKR depending on trim. In Pakistan it is 80 lac. Both are imported! And the one we get has fewer options! 😵]]> In reply to TruongNguyen.

That is quite normal. The one thing the Japs are very good at is designing small cars with max use of space.

You can check out cars like the Suzuki MRwagon or the JDM wagonR or any of the other ones. They have the very simple function in the back seats, you can move them forward and back like you can do with the front seats. The seat in the picture is in the full back position. That way you max out leg room but with almost no cargo space in the back. Or you can put the seats full forward to max out the cargo space. And you can lay the back seats full flat for max cargo carrying capacity. Also you can make the interior into beds by laying the front seat full flat and touching them to the lower seat part of the rear seats.

I know I’m usually against the Japs and their practices in the local industry but these are what they should introduce. Cheap runabouts with practical useful features for the family. Take out all the bells and whistles; just leave these basic features. The Alto is NOT a family car!

The Suzuki ertega is another MPV that could be introduced for the local market at a very reasonable price because it is the very definition of a cheap family hauler. But of course as there are no check and balances, if introduced, even this cheap option will be relegated to the fake “premium” bin in Pakistan and priced twice as high as anywhere else in the region. 😔😤

Either that woman is absolutely tiny, to the point where she makes the rear of this car looks just as spacious as a Lincoln Town Car 😐 OR Mitsubishi somehow managed to miraculously squeeze in such a huge amount of leg room in a car this size! 🤪]]> Oh bhai what is this sorcery?!?! 🤣🤣
