Also, “Dog” has to be the weirdest name for a car… great for them to launch it in a different name in SA since the name “Dog” assigned to something could actually be termed as an insult and wouldn’t work out all that good in terms of marketing… 😅😂

Examples are Bolan, Ravi, Mehran, Khyber, Potohar and Margalla. More recently they are adopting the policy of other auto assemblers which is to just use the same name as in the global markets: APV, Jimny, Baleno, Kizashi, Cultus, Liana, Alto. Except of the current Cultus which is globally called Celerio.
So long so much for “localization” efforts. By now they don’t seem interested in localizing even the name!
