Neta U-II Compact Electric Crossover Launched in China

Hozon Auto has launched the Neta U-II compact electric crossover in the Chinese market with a price tag ranging from 129,800 yuan to 159,800 yuan (PKR 39.44 lac to PKR 48.60 lac).

Slotted above the Neta U, the new Neta U-II is offered in four variants, the U-II 400 Lite, U-II 400, U-II 500, and U-II 600. The variants are named according to the NEDC driving range, which is 400 km, 500 km, and 610 km.

The 610 km variant is equipped with a 228 hp/310 Nm electric motor, while the acceleration time from 0 – 100 km/h is 7 seconds. Other variants are equipped with a 161 hp/210 Nm electric motor, with an acceleration time from 0 – 100 km/h of under 9.5 seconds.

Neta U-II measures 4,530/1,860/1,628 mm with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. These dimensions make its much larger than the new HR-V (4,385/ 1,790/ 1,590mm and 2,610 mm wheelbase) which Honda Atlas is in works to introduce in Pakistan. Salient features include a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, electric tailgate, and a built-in dash cam recorder.

The interior comes in a choice of two color schemes: black with green accents, and pink & white targeted for female buyers. Other features include a dual 12.3-inch control center screen setup, below which there is another 8-inch multi-function touch screen sitting above the central tunnel, and a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The cockpit system is supported by the third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.

In terms of safety, the Neta U-II comes with a level 2.5+ driving assistance system supported by 5 millimeter-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic radars to achieve features including lane change assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and autonomous parking.
