Hence the government should allow used JDM imports but cars of an older age should be allowed to create 2 bifurcated market sectors: one is those who buy locally assembled expensive zero meter, and the other those who buy a cheaper but much older used import. Unsurprisingly there is a reply to that comment by one of the usual participants which is also the truth, and it is one of the points which has often been raised on this blog in many articles and comments.

Moreover the policies haven’t done anything for the commercial people transport sector (buses), commercial cargo sector (trucks) and rickshaws or motorcycles which are still unergonomic, high fuel consumption, high NVH old and obsolete designs without EFI, ABS and other safety and comfort features.
