The all-new Toyota Yaris Ativ sedan made its debut in Thailand earlier this month. The vehicle will begin reaching other Southeast Asian and regional markets towards the end of this year.
The new Yaris Ativ is already being tested by various portals and Thai motoring journalists. HeadLightMag has also recently tested the flagship 1.2L Premium Luxury variant of new Yaris Ativ which cost 689,000 baht (PKR 43.5 lac).
Under the hood the new Yaris Ativ in Thailand gets powered by 3NR-VE 1.2L 4 cylinder DOHC 16-valves petrol engine with maximum power of 93 hp and peak torque of 110 Nm. The engine is paired to a Super CVT-i variable ratio automatic transmission with Sequential Shift. According to the test the 2022 Yaris Ativ goes from 0-100 km/h in 14.04 seconds, while it takes another 11.24 seconds to reach from 80 km/h to 120 km/h speed.

Top speed on its speedometer gauge was achieved at 184 km/h at 5,500rpm. However as per GPS, the speed was 5 km/h less than shown on the car’s meter cluster. Fuel consumption of new Yaris Ativ with 1.2L engine was evaluated at 19.89 km in a liter. These figures make the new Yaris Ativ sedan stand at 26th place among competing B-segment performances in Thai market.
